Johanna BISSETT


Johanna was born and brought up in Auckland, New Zealand but she has lived for over 15 years in SE Asia. She has been teaching English for over 15 years and has been passionately involved in training English teachers for the last 8 years. As the Pastoral Care Team leaders, she also is keen to help students attain their personal goals and have a rewarding and worthwhile time at AEC

Shane CHUBB


He has been teaching English for 15 years and has passionate to see his students succeed. He also has the privilege as the activities teacher to introduce students to the sights and attractions from Auckland to Taupo.

Sylvia

Sylvia EDWIN


Sylvia Edwin has been teaching at AEC for 15 years. Prior to this she has teaching experiences in other schools in Auckland, Singapore and Malaysia. Teaching is her passion and she’s able to inspire her students. She enjoys motivating and encouraging the students too. Apart from teaching, she’s also in charge of First-Aid and she assists with camps at Rotorua.

GERLINDE STRADWICK(GINA)


Gina has had over 25years experience as a teacher. She taught in colleges before specializing in English Language Teaching. Gina has been teaching at AEC for 15 years. She has a lively personality and teaching style and a very high regard for the students.

Dan

Dan STRADWICK


Has been teaching for 15 years. He was involved in Social work for 25 years, which involved lecturing and personal care for people. He holds a TESOL certificate from trinity College London and has concentrated on teaching IELTS exam skills for the last twelve years.

Lyn

Lyn KAHAAR


Lyn has had 25 years of teaching experience. She initially taught in South Africa as a primary and high school teacher. She started teaching ESOL in Korea, and for the last 15 years. She has taught ESOL in New Zealand. Her passion is to see her students achieve their goals in a friendly and nurturing environment.

Tersia

Tersia Elisabeth NAIDOO


Has been teaching for over twenty years. She graduated with a teaching Diploma in Music Education(Hons), in South Africa. When she emigrated to NZ, She graduated from Auckland University with a Masters Degree in Professional Language Teaching because she was a TESOL teacher at that time. This has enabled her to become a more confident passionate teacher. She has been teaching at AEC for over eight years, teaching the higher levels in General English, and is thoroughly enjoying it!

Sue

Sue GOVENDER


Sue has been teaching for the past 20 years. She has an overwhelming passion to encourage students to inter grate into kiwi culture. She strives to educate students holistically and this includes teaching basic life skills. She believes if students are given the tools to succeed they will feel empowered. Her motto is to always Encourage, Educate and Empower.

Julie

Julie RIPPON


After qualifying as a teacher with distinction Julie has taught for more than 20 years mostly in NZ, but also overseas in Asia. She has been involved in teacher training for 10 years, ESL teaching for 15 years and was appointed as the Director of studies 4 years ago. She is compassionated and caring.

Dave

Dave FERN


Dave has a Bachelor of Edncatcon Honours Degree from England, and an RSA Cert TEFLA qualification. He has taught for over 25 years in both England and New Zealand. For the past 4 years he has been involved in training new teachers. He enjoys helping people to grow and develop.
